How we render our mobile or web-based tracking services

• Propose as preferred mode the ASP mode (ASP = Application Service Provider, i.e.: a sort of outsourcing of the technical management of the software, in our case combined with a pay-per-use billing scheme). In other words users would use the application through a regular web browser without local installations - but for what is needed to configure and activate the mobile devices. This approach grants:
  • Competency
  • Constant updating
  • Continuous improvement (its base software is shared among all customers who, as a result, directly benefit from its improvements along the time)
  • Perfect applicability of our proposed pay-per-use billing schemes and short-term contract frames
  • Limited or null investments by the customer, and no need for technical administration
• Offer other important consulting services associated to the software and its configuration, both during set-up and on an ongoing basis. This is made possible by the mix of technology, process, marketing and business management competency we can rely on.

Nevertheless, respecting our general orientation towards to flexibility, Traceland remains available to consider, on a case-by-base basis, alternative offer modes involving for instance permanent licensing, and/or local installations, and/or rights to intervene on the source code for own usage.

(*) Investments are excluded under the assumption that mobile hardware is either already available (e.g.: usage of cell phones), or not needed (no field activity to be tracked) or otherwise can be rented (subject to Traceland or third party approval).  In all other cases an investment for mobile hardware devices has to be planned, taking into account that there are different price-level options to choose among, starting from the less expensive ones (yet suitable for barcode reading plus GPS localization plus GPRS transmission anyhow).
